This game focuses on simple verbs without a direct object. There are four main sections: a verbs vocabulary practice section, a verbs spelling section, verbs games for conversation practice, and games for present participle practice.

The question and answer games and grammar games are associated with the ESL Young Learners Curriculum - Unit 4.

Questions and Answers:

A: What's he doing?

A: Is he cooking?

B: Yes, he is./No, he's not.

A: Is he cooking?

B: No. He's not cooking. He's eating.

Other notes:

  • The spelling game will accept the vocabulary word as is ("eat"), in the infinitive ("to eat"), or the present participle ("eating").
  • In the grammar section there is extended emphasis placed on learning the difference between "he" and "she".
