Watch DAVID LEE ROTH Butcher VAN HALEN Classic ‘Panama’ In Las Vegas

David Lee Roth is almost 70 and still having a good time onstage.

Unfortunately, his vocal performance has gone worse in the last few years.

Below you can watch fan video footage of David Lee Roth returning on stage with the all-star covers band Royal Machines at the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It’s difficult to see him butcher Van Halen classic ‘Panama’.

I love vintage Van Halen. With that said, David Lee Roth was never even a good singer. He was a good performer and average singer. Eddie Van Halen was a great guitarist, Michael Anthony is a better than good bass player and Alex Van Halen was a serviceable drummer. Together, they made great music. When the Van Halen brothers reconciled with David Lee Roth, it was too late. The talent of Eddie (RIP), could not make up for the lack of showmanship as well as no vocal range from DLR, who could only shuffle on a piece of plywood. With the one dimensional and flat Wolfgang on bass instead of Michael Anthony, real Van Halen fans could only reflect on how much electricity there once was!

This is just a typical Dave performance of the last 30+ years, miss timed, out of key, forgotten lyrics. No effort in the performance, obviously no preparation. He thinks he can just show up and we will be wowed. And take note, I am a die hard Dave guy from the beginnig. Saw so many of the VH reunion shows and was disappointed leaving every one, because of his shoddy performances, Any one living east of Ohio, I strongly suggest seeing a band call Completely Unchained. Their show is like being transported back to the early eighties, unbelievable energy, and spot on music and vocals.
