Yamaha YBR 125 Service Manual
You should service your Yamaha YBR 125 during the run-in period at 1,000 (600) or 1 month, and then every 3,000 (2,000) or 3 months thereafter. For more information, see page 40 of the manual.
Was this helpful? How often should I change the engine oil in my Yamaha YBR 125?You should change the engine oil during the run-in period at 1,000 (600) or 1 month, and then every 3,000 (2,000) or 3 months. It is recommended to replace the oil after warming the engine before draining. For more information, see page 40 of the manual.
Was this helpful? What type of engine oil is recommended for the Yamaha YBR 125? The recommended engine oil is YAMALUBE, four-stroke SAE20W40SF or SAE10W30SF machine oil. Was this helpful? What are the recommended tyre pressures for the Yamaha YBR 125?- For driving with one person:
- Front wheel: 175kPa (1.75kgf/cm²)
- Rear wheel: 196kPa (2.0kgf/cm²)
- Front wheel: 195kPa (2.0kgf/cm²)
- Rear wheel: 245kPa (2.5kgf/cm²)
- Rest the motorcycle on a flat surface and in a vertical position.
- Run the engine at idle speed for 2 to 3 minutes, then stop it for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- While keeping the motorcycle in a vertical position, remove the oil level cock.
- Check the oil level on the cock to ensure it is between the designated marks.
- Check the fuse: If it is broken, replace it.
- Check the battery: If it is abnormal, supplement the electrolyte, clear the binding post, or charge/replace the battery.
- Check the starting motor: If it is not working, replace it.
- Check the starting relay: If it is not working, replace it.
- Check the main switch: If it is failing, replace it.
- Check the neutral switch: If it is failing, replace it.
- Check the clutch switch: If it is failing, replace it.
- Check the wire joint: If there is a poor connection, correct or replace it.
- Remove the right side cover, cushion, and the air filter case.
- Take out the core of the air filter.
- If the filter core is dusty, blow off the dust from the net using compressed air.
- If the filter core is excessively dirty, you can wash it with a neutral solution and then thoroughly blow it dry with compressed air.
- Important: The filter core should not be painted with engine oil.
- Before operating the motorcycle, ensure the filter core is correctly fixed in the filter case.
- First, confirm that the adjusting device and locking nut are fully tightened.
- Then, loosen the lock nut.
- Screw in or screw out the adjusting nut until the specified free play is achieved. Screwing in increases free play, while screwing out decreases it.
- Finally, tighten the locknut.
- If the free play remains improper, loosen the locking nut and adjust the adjusting device until the correct free play is obtained, then tighten the locking nut.
- When normally replacing: 1.0L (1000cm³)
- When repairing the engine: 1.2L (1200cm³)
- Check the fuse: If it is not conducted, replace it.
- Check the battery: If it is abnormal, supplement the electrolyte, clear the binding post, or charge/replace the battery.
- Check the main switch: If it is failing, replace it.
- Check the charge voltage: If it is out of the normal value of 14.0V at 5000r/min, and the charge circuit is not normal, the charge coil is failing, and you should replace it.
- Check the connecting condition of the wire: If there is a poor connection, correct it.
The battery on the Yamaha YBR 125 is located near the front of the motorcycle, under the seat, and can be accessed by removing the left side cover.
Was this helpful? How can I fix a non-working fuel gauge on my Yamaha YBR 125?- First, check the fuel level sensor. Remove it from the fuel tank and use a multitester to check its resistance. The normal resistance value for the upper position is 4~10 Ω at 20°C, and for the lower position is 90~100 Ω at 20°C. If the values are outside this range, replace the fuel level sensor.
- Next, check the voltage. Connect a multitester to the fuel gauge branch connector and verify if the brown wire voltage at the fuel gauge binding post reaches 12V. If not, there is a poor layout from the main switch to the socket connector, and repair is needed.
- Finally, check the fuel gauge itself. Connect the fuel level sensor to the circuit joint and manually move the float up and down. The needle should show "F" for the upper float bowl and "E" for the lower float bowl. If it does not, replace the petrol gauge.
