This is a project to explore harvest weed seed control (HWSC) under UK conditions as a method to control grassweeds and reduce the dependence on chemical control, particularly glyphosate. Previous research and experience in Canada and Australia has shown that combine-mounted seed control units (SCU) render 98% of seed that passes through the harvester unviable. Seed to Harvest | Full Potato Season with Jamison Potatoes | John Deere 6R185 & Grimme 270
Mar 29- Yesterday at 8:46 PM
- Andy - AR Imagery
Join us for a full season following Jamison Potatoes from planting right through to harvest!
We start with the John Deere 6R185 on the Laggan RF1700 bed former, shaping the beds ready for planting. Then the John Deere 6155R steps in with the Grimme CS150 Combi Star to remove clods and stones, giving the perfect seedbed. The John Deere 6130R then takes over on the Grimme GL32B planter with a front fertiliser hopper, getting the crop in the ground.
Fast forward to harvest and the Grimme 270 Varitron with Multi-Sep is digging away, lifting a fantastic crop!
