マーク・ノップラーが、デパートの中でMTVを見ながら仕事の愚痴やロックスターの悪口を言っている数名のデリバリー店員を見て着想を得て、その時の（いくつかの）実際の悪口を歌詞にしたというこの曲は、当時は珍しかったコンピューター・アニメーションが使われているビデオも非常に印象的で、第3回MTV Video Music Awardsではアーハの “Take On Me”、ロバート・パーマーの “Addicted To Love” などの強敵を抑えてビデオ・オブ・ザ・イヤーに輝いています。
